How Others See You.

Making an impression on the people within your community, is one of the first steps you take on your online marketing journey, whether you know it or not.

The impression you make now, will considerably affect your level of success in the future. People tend to form an opinion on others they meet (or come across) fairly quickly. You need to take this opportunity to show people who you really are.
As a surfer myself, I see countless generic sales pages and standard splashes, every single day. On a regular Traffic Exchange, there's no way of knowing who is behind the page, so, if I were to sign up, it would just be a matter of 'luck' as to who's list or downline I would end up in.
People may well find this loose system is getting some results, however, you do have the power to take control of the situation... You see, it's all about YOU!

Here's an example:
Ten people using the same Traffic Exchange are all promoting the same great offer.
Nine of those use a generic sales page, and one creates a unique splash, that's eye catching and personal.
Without a doubt, the person who is presenting themselves along with the offer, will see better results than the other nine. This person is making a connection with their audience.

I see these pages time and time again and they are rarely able to make a personal connection... Unlike a unique page, created by another real person.

==============================
If you are new to internet marketing, this may bear the question:
“How and where do I meet these people I am supposed to make a connection with?”

=============================

I use a large selection of effective Traffic Exchanges (sites that are usually free to join, where you view other peoples websites for credits, you then use these credits to get others to view yours)
Some I choose for their speedy delivery of traffic, others for their dynamic surf ratios, but my main selection, for their incredible social aspect.

Using the methods displayed in this blog, I get my best results by far, from one particularly unique T.E...
Sweeva offers the most in social benefits, and if used correctly, enables its members to make an enormous impact on the community that surf there.

I strongly recommend “homing in” and focussing your main efforts on the social benefits available from the "social" T.E's.

These ones are great too:      I LOVE HITS    ~   ThumbVu   ~   StartXchange   ~   TopHits4U

Here is a basic, but ESSENTIAL check list:
complete before you do anything else.

~ 1st Add your picture to your profile.
(This may need to be uploaded from your computer, or a gravatar image, linked to your email.)
~ 2nd Complete your profile information.
(This includes your “about me” if applicable. Be open & honest, put some personality in there. Also make sure any social site links are complete, ie: facebook, twitter, skype etc.)
~ 3rd Make sure you have skype!
(+ include this on your profile where possible. - Skype is 100% free, and you are missing out on connecting with people if you don't.)

OK.. So now you are ready to get social!

As I mentioned before, standard generic pages just don't connect with your audience as well as you will. This is worth noting down and remembering: DUSAP
                                       D on't
                                       U se
                                       S tandard
                                       A ffiliate
                                       P ages

I really can't stress enough, how important this is; Before you start promoting any programs or offers, you need to promote YOU!

The more you connect with your audience, the more notice they will take each time they see your pages. The more notice they take, the more attention will be paid to your offers.

Being open and honest is important. Just be yourself, this is the easiest way to make a good impression as a person who is honest and has nothing to hide.
Promote YOU!

"Times Change, And We Change With Them.."

The things I've experienced, have lead me to where I am today..

When I was 13, I was so sure, oh so sure, that I was going to become a Veterinary Surgeon one day. That was my goal.. It was at a time in my school years when we were asked to make mature descisions about our future. We had to decide which subjects to drop, and which ones to throw our focus into. So, I dropped History and French, and studied hard in Science, Double Biology and Math.
So young at 13, but so sure of myself, and that this would be my path in life, but what did I know.

I left School at 16, with a string of good GCSE's under my belt and headed off to College to study A Level Biology etc, with every intention of eventually becoming a Vet..

Well.. Alot has happened between then and now, and to cut a very long story short, I am not a Vet, nor qualified to be one.. My outlook on life has somewhat changed from when I was a teen, and circumstances have changed in my life.
I have no regrets, I have decided to make my choices based upon experiences rather than fantasies, or what "I think" I would like to do.

So..

I tried many different options, from office work, doing administrative duties, to nursing care, to sales, and have discovered myself along the way, amongst other life activities, such as marraige, children and divorce.

Now, at age 30, I know who I am, and where I belong..

  • I learned from doing office duties, that I am organised, and that I like supporting others within an organisation.
  • I learned from nursing that I have a certain type of nature, and gain alot from helping people.
  • I learned from sales, that I love a challenge, that I am good with people and can meet targets.
Of course I also learned from my marriage/divorce to be more careful when selecting who to trust, and from my children, that I want to work at home, to be there for them 100%, and to work hard for a better life for us.

So this is the end result.. Me, an Internet Marketer, with a passion for what I do.. It has become so much more than when I first began..

It started as an interest, I wanted to know what I was capable of, and also to see what opportunities are out there.

I started with aquiring affiliations with large well known companies, and promoting them through various online sources.. I also started out with an online auction site shop. (which was really fun!)

I wrote ebooks to promote certain ventures, and eventually found my way into Traffic Exchanges, where I learned about teams, building downlines, and steady residual incomes.

I joined some fantastic teams, and also joined a few flops, but hey, it's all part of the journey that brought me here today..

I previously ran my own team, however, it didn't work out how I'd hoped it would. I'm really glad I did it, as I met so many wonderful people with whom I still connect with today..

I am now more focussed on branding myself and finding my own niche, something important for us all to do. I'm no longer interested by matrix program or cyclers, instead I promote evergreen products, including marketing tools that people really need. I look at the long term picture, and set my self short terms goals to help me get there. This post has really been about, who I am, and what lessons I have taken from my life and work experiences that have lead me to where I am now..

Very happy.. Work from home marketer.. Doing what I love the most.. And with a very bright future indeed..

No matter what journey you have taken, never regret! You may not be on your original path, things usually don't turn out how we expect them to.. But if you learn from what life gives you, you can shape it, and really get the best out of life.. Once you know you've found the right place, you can really enjoy what you do..

Are Your Clicks Paying Off?

As an Internet Marketer myself, I know how hard it can be to get your promotions seen,
a) to the right audiences, and
b) with enough impact.
There are literally hundreds, if not thousand of Traffic Exchanges out there, most are free to join, with optional upgrades available. So it is possible to "earn" yourself free views to your promotions, but getting it right is another thing altogether...

Benefit For Free

There are alot of freebies flying around all over the net, some are more worth while than others. The bonuses that you can get for free, to really get extra quality traffic to your site, should not go to waste...

When I was starting out, I made a few common mistakes.. I didn't do enough research into which TE's offer free members the most dynamic ratios. I googled "free traffic" and joined the first few that came up.. The sites were 3:1 and I was soon tired of endlessly surfing hundreds of pages, only to receive little over 30 hits for every 100 clicks, not great! I read the details of the TE's and discovered I could get better ratios, but at a cost, and ended up paying approx $10 a month for each TE, just to get a fair deal for my efforts. Now there's nothing wrong with upgrading in TE's, many offer awesome benefits and are very worth while, I am upgraded currently in a select few, as I feel the benefits make them great value for money. However that is not always the case...

The best place to start, is with the free sites. Ones that offer the most to their active members, and have the most dynamic surf ratios. Talking about free benefits above, there are a group of TE's that are rated very highly, ie; they have great conversion rates, and are active accross the net. This is what you want to look for, good conversion rates and high activity mean your site is being shown the right type of audience, and this means your promotion is being seen by plenty of potential prospects..

Because at the end of the day,
isn't it our goal to get customers/sign ups to our promotions?

You may not be aware about 4 TE's that give extra bonuses to their members (upto 100% per click!) for power tab surfing at the same time.. Now this is excellent! Power tab surfing saves you time as you surf multiple sites together, and getting extra bonuses in 4 sites simultaneously is simply incredible..

This is one of the ways where I can get massive exposure to my pages, and enjoy surfing without getting restless.. It really takes the effort out of a heavy surfing session..

Power tab surfing in your regular browser is fine, but not great. Standard browsers (eg; Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome etc) are not designed for this purpose, however, there is a browser that is:

TE Browser is made for marketers like you and me, it automatically selects the tabs when the TE surf bar is ready, all you have to do is surf away.. It also remembers your passwords and includes autoform, just generally makes life easier.. Best of all, it's free! You can upgrade, but for free members, you can powersurf upto 5 sites at a time, which is all you really need.

As for the sites to surf.. By far the most beneficial freebies, are with 4 top TE's that reward you for powersurfing with them. I gain so much extra from taking advantage of this, and just one hour of surfing can result in over 1000 credits from these sites, and that is as a free member..

The bonuses range from 10% to 100%, and that is every click. This is no special offer, it runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and on those great occasions where there are special offers and extra's, these bonuses pile on top, making getting the most out of surfing really top notch...

These are the 4 TE's that reward their members in this way:
I Love Hits           (bonus 10%)
Dragon Surf         (bonus 100%)
Traffic Splash      (bonus 10%)
Start Xchange       (bonus 10% + extra 10% for every 50 sites surfed)

Gone are the days of clicking 3 pages for less than one credit, taking hours of tedious surfing to get a handful of visits to my sites.. My results are now excellent and I enjoy surfing for credits as a free member, knowing that I will get a return for my efforts.. So much more rewarding.
There are other great TE's out there too, but my main focus here is on sites that make surfing worth while for free members. I am happy to "earn" my advertising credits when I feel that I'm getting good results..

Well, thank you for reading my post, please feel free to comment. Have you used these exchanges? Share your great experiences here..
